Tic Tac Toe is a residential tower for families, in the Ravel neighborhood of the Zuidas. It was designed by VMX and DS, commissioned by Edwin Oostmeijer project development. The first floor has communal spaces and the basement has bicycle storage. Each apartment has a “shed” on its own floor. The final design is now complete.
The tower in the neighborhood park spreads its roots into the park, defining different places around its base. The balconies incorporate nesting facilities for bats, swifts and small birds such as tits and sparrows. Provisions have been made in the ground and on the facades to allow up to 20% of the facade to be covered with climbing plants. And on each balcony is a planter with rainwater harvesting. The municipality strictly monitored the nature-inclusive promises made in the tender. As a result, like Vertical in Sloterdijk, this will be a special and just where different nature-inclusive tower.
